Revelation 17: 1,2 (Worldwide religion) …”Come, I (Angel) will show you the punishment of the great prostitute, (Worldwide Religion in the end time) who sits on many waters. (Religious dictatorship over the peoples, Revelation 17: 15)  With her the kings (World political  powers) of the earth committed adultery (Spiritual adultery) and the inhabitants of the earth were intoxicated with the wine of her adulteries.”

Revelation 17: 3 (Political position of this religious system) Then the angel carried me away in the Spirit into a desert.  There I saw a woman sitting (ruling over)  on a scarlet beast (Antichrist, world political dictator) that was covered with blasphemous names and had seven heads and ten horns.  ( Ten European nations)  The woman (The religion and city, Rev. 17: 8) was dressed in purple and scarlet, (Royalty and power) and was glittering with gold, precious tones and pearls.  She held a golden cup in her hand, filled with abominable things of the filth of her adulteries.  (Abominable spiritual worship, teachings, and practices)

Revelation17: 5 “Mystery Babylon the great, the mother of prostitutes and of the abominations of the earth.  (Worldwide religious, spiritual, prostitute)

THIS WORLDWIDE RELIGION AND POLITICAL DICTATOR’S TREATMENT TOWARD OUR LORD JESUS AND HIS SAINTS, AND OUR LORD’S AFFIRMING HIS FAITHFUL

Revelation 17: 6, 13, 14 I saw that the woman (Worldwide false religion) was drunk with the blood of the saints, the blood of those who bore testimony to Jesus. … They (False religion and world political powers, Revelation 17: 7  13) have one purpose and will give their power and authority to the beast  (Antichrist, world, satanic empowered, European, dictator in the seven  year Tribulation period) They will make war against the Lamb, (Christ Jesus) but the Lamb will overcome them because he is Lord of lords and King of kings  and with him will be his called, chosen, and faithful followers.

THE FAITHFUL AND COVENANT KEEPING LOVE FOLLOWERS OF OUR LORD JESUS DURING THE SEVEN  YEAR TRIBULATION PERIOD.

Revelation 12: 11 “They (Tribulation saints) overcome him (Satan) by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony; they did not love their lives so much as to shrink from death.”



Revelation 14: 1  5 Then I looked and there before me was the Lamb, (Christ Jesus our Lord) standing on Mount Zion, (Jerusalem) and with him 144,000 (Converted Jews to Jesus our Lord, the worldwide evangelists during the seven  year tribulation period Revelation 7: 5  8) who had his Name and his Father’s Name written on their foreheads.  And I heard a sound from heaven like the roar of rushing waters and like a loud peal of thunder.  The sound I heard was like that of harpists playing their harps.  And they sang a new song before the throne and before the four living creatures and the elders.  No one could learn the song except the 144,000 who had been redeemed from the earth.  These are those who did not defile themselves with women, for they kept themselves pure.  They follow the Lamb wherever he goes.  They were purchased from among men and offered as firstfruits to God and the Lamb.  No lie was found in their mouths; they are blameless. (Celebration, worship, and praise in heaven to our Lord Jesus by His faithful at the end of the Tribulation period)

THE WORLDWIDE DICTATOR (The Antichrist) AND THE TEN EUROPEAN NATIONS TREATMENT OF THE WORLDWIDE FALSE RELIGION, “MOTHER OF PROSTITUTES”

Revelation 17: 15  17 Then the angel said to me, (John) “The waters you saw, where the prostitute (Worldwide false religion) sits are peoples, multitudes, nations, and languages.  The beast (Antichrist, worldwide dictator) and the ten horns (Ten European nations) you saw will hate the prostitute.  They (Worldwide political rulers under the Antichrist) will bring her (The false Religion) to ruin and leave her naked; they will eat her flesh and burn her with fire.  For
God has put it into their (European nations) hearts to accomplish his purpose by agreeing to give the beast (Antichrist) their power to rule until God’s words are fulfilled.”  (Revelation 19: 11  21, “God’s Words” - our Lord’s vengeance on the world dictator, the Antichrist, false prophet, and nations under Satan’s control, - the battle of Armageddon)

Revelation 17: 18 (False religion’s city of operation)  “The woman (False religious system) you saw is the great city that rules (Religiously) over the kings of the earth.”  Which city rules religiously, worldwide, over the nations today?

Dr Walvoord’s, former Dallas Theological Seminary President, notes on the city of Babylon:

        Genesis 11: 1-9 Babylon, historically symbolized, by the “tower reaching to heaven”, (Genesis 11: 4) proposed to maintain the union of the world through a common worship, and a common tongue.  Babylon, ecclesiastically (Church) symbolized by the woman in Revelation, proposes a common worship and a common religion through uniting in a world church.  Babylon, politically symbolized by the great city of Revelation 17: 18  (Also described in Revelation Chapter 18) attempts to achieve its domination of the world by a world common market and a world government.  These (Political and Commercial Babylon, Revelation Chapters 18) will be destroyed by Christ at His second coming. Revelation 19: 11, 12,  (Battle of Armageddon, at the end of the seven - year tribulation period, Revelation chapters 6  18)
